HIKE FOR HUNGER ACCIDENT WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY FORM
I hereby assume all risks of participating in any and all activities associated with Rio Grande Food Project and Hike for Hunger.
I acknowledge that Rio Grande Food Project, which includes its directors, officers, volunteers, representatives, employees, and agents, is NOT responsible for any errors, omissions, acts, or failures to act of Rio Grande Food Project and/or any party or entity conducting a specific activity on its behalf.
I acknowledge that hiking/walking/running is an inherently dangerous activity that involves a test of a person’s physical and mental limits and carries with it the potential for death and serious bodily injury. Further risks include, but are not limited to: dehydration, cramping, sun exposure, blisters, fatigue adverse weather conditions, high altitude problems, falling avalanche, insect stings and illnesses, animal encounters, and getting lost. I acknowledge that I am participating in Hike for Hunger voluntarily, and that there are risks involved, both known and unknown. Additionally, I do not have any mental or physical conditions that will increase my likelihood of experiencing injuries while engaging in this activity.
I understand while participating in this activity, I may be photographed. I agree to allow my photo, video, or film likeness to be used for many legitimate purpose by the activity holders, producers, sponsors, and/or organizers.
By signing this waiver, I agree to fully release Rio Grande Food Project from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, losses or liabilities whatsoever relating to injuries that may occur during Hike for Hunger. By signing this agreement, I agree to hold Rio Grande Food Project entirely free from any l liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether such injuries are caused by negligence.
I agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Rio Grande Food Project from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, losses or liabilities whatsoever, including attorney fees and costs, arising from or related to my participation in Hike for Hunger and any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or caused to others or their property by me.
By signing below I acknowledge that I fully understand and agree to the above terms and I forfeit all right to bring a claim against Rio Grande Food Project for any reason.
